3 pieces....STERLING and TEAKWOOD LARGE 11 inch SALAD BOWL plus STERLING and TEAKWOOD TONGS + SERVING SPOON LARGE Spectacular WOOD SALAD BOWL on ATTACHED STERLING PEDESTAL 1. Gorgeous LARGE wood and sterling silver salad bowl.. ALL ONE PIECE ..... 11 inches in diameter, (approx. 12 inches at the widest point). The sterling base is 5 1/2 inches diameter and is approximately 5 inches tall. This bowl is marked on the pedestal STERLING. The sterling silver pedestal is not weighted and is solid sterling silver. It has a threaded base rim and is very sturdy. Very nice condition. This piece is from an estate so I do not know the age but it has been taken care of very well. No cracks, chips or nicks. It has been used very infrequently. Beautiful honey gold wood color with lovely whirls and striations with darker strips in the middle.. Nice smooth finish. It has its original "directions for care" on the bottom. This bowl is very sturdy, hefty and weighs 3 pounds 3 ounces. STUNNING salad server set,... STERLING handles with TEAKWOOD BOWL AND TINES, made by a well known pretigious company with gorgeous designs and patterns. 2. These pieces are marked with an A and STERLING . I believe it is ALVIN STERLING but I am not familiar with this pattern. These are from an estate, so I do not know the age but believe the pattern is very old, 1900's. However, these actual pieces are from a later date. Vintage more than older. This set is gorgeous and in very good vintage condition. The pattern is in Sterling silver Repousse with Rose or Orange Blossoms and Shells with scroll patterns on the side and Acanthus style ferns on the top portion. This pattern is very close to Chateau Rose or a similar pattern. It is STUNNING!!! The Teakwood is in a deep reddish brownish shade, beautiful color. It appears to have been used quite infrequently. Nice and sturdy. The spoon is 10 1/2 inches in length while the fork is 10 3/4 inches in length. Normal for the fork to be slightly longer to grab the salad into the spoon.
